In the second week of Kenya’s ongoing protests against the 2024 finance bill, parliament was breached on Tuesday! MPs scampered for safety as police used live bullets to try and block the protestors, but not even bodies dropping next to them would stop the mob.

When the guns went silent, more than eight people lay dead inside and on the streets around parliament. A tough-talking President Ruto appeared on TV calling the protestors “criminals” and “anarchists.”
