Kenyan police have banned protests in the centre of the capital, Nairobi, and surrounding areas citing that the erratic nature of the protests has made it difficult for them to enforce safety and security measures.
The ban comes after weeks of deadly anti-government protests in which scores of people have been killed- with the capital being the heart of the youth-led demonstrations, which have also taken place across the country.
