Nairobi recently hosted the first-ever Africa Climate Summit, which will act as a precursor to COP28 to be held later this year in Dubai. The summit was held to develop an African position ahead of the Dubai summit when it comes to financing climate change mitigation and adaptation.

At the summit, the continent’s private sector also made a strong commitment to work with governments and non-governmental organizations in championing sustainable industrialization of the continent.
